I've decided to beautify my boring old Volumio. I started out by making a better background, and when I say better I mean not as "busy" as the photos they provide and not as boring as one of their plain colour options. I settled on this.

Volumio Background

Next up came the two music directories on my Synology 211j NAS. Classical and Non Classical. I miss being able to size the tiles, like you can in JRiver, but I still prefer the large tiles to a list-style display. The problem is, Volumio's tiles are pug-ugly. Big, empty, white things with tiny little writing underneath, so I dropped a couple of image files into the main folders, and now they look like this...

Main Headings

Finally, my Non Classical albums are in individual, alphabetical, sub-folders, except when there are too many of any particular artist, and then they get a folder all of their own. I made alphabetical image files, one for each letter of the alphabet, plus a "The" image, and a "Various Artists" image, so when I open up my Non Classical folder, it looks like this.

Even the list format looks better now.
